Memoir, ca. 1943-2001.

Turner relates some of his military experiences in this short, well written memoir. He speaks of his enlisting, basic training, and mostly of his duties and experiences aboard the CVE 83, the "Rudyerd Bay," including going through a typhoon, in which he volunteered to go out on the deck to cut a wire that had come loose and shorted out the ships communications, and watching as the fighters engaged Japanese Kamikaze pilots overhead. Turner returned to Brigham Young University after his service and was the Student Body President his senior year.
